Cyber For Youth is looking for passionate students (grades 10-12 in the 2025-2026 school year) to join our summer internship! By applying, you'll get volunteer hours, have the chance to work alongside teenagers in roles that build your skills, and create a safer digital world for students and families.

As part of Cyber For Youth, you can:

  • Gain volunteer hours.

  • Develop skills in online safety, digital marketing, communication, and leadership.

  • Work in a collaborative environment with other motivated students.

  • Contribute to meaningful projects that positively impact our community.

Our application process is rigorous, and we will be accepting candidates who demonstrate strong leadership skills, a passion for our cause, and the ability to work independently.

Our Teams

Research & Writing

The Research & Writing Team creates workshops and resources for students and parents. This includes researching online safety and collaborating with other teams to ensure our workshops align with their goals, are feasible, and engaging.

Communications

The Communications Team conducts workshops for both parents and children (i.e. presenting), works closely with the Research & Writing Team to create engaging workshops, and increases engagement across social platforms.

Marketing

The Marketing Team manages all Cyber For Youth social media, updates our website, and coordinates with other teams to curate slideshows for lesson plans and design promotional posters.

Our Web Development Role

During the internship, our web development role will give you the opportunity to modify and upgrade our website. If you're interested in computer science or have experience with programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Java, or Python, we encourage you to apply. To be considered, email us at leadership@cyberforyouth.org by 4/31, with your preferred internship start date. You will be tested on your skills through an interview process.

Our Finance Role

During the internship, the finance role will include outreach and leading fundraising efforts for our team. You’ll gain access to valuable resources and learn how to not only fundraise effectively, but also how to market a nonprofit to secure funding. If you're interested in business or finance and want to get involved, email us at leadership@cyberforyouth.org by 4/31 with your preferred internship start date to be considered. You will be tested on your skills through an interview process.

Still Not Convinced?

I first heard about Cyber For Youth through my friend, who told me to consider applying. I was hesitant at first, but thought, "why not?" Since then, I've had the chance to work with an incredible group of people and have really enjoyed helping build a more welcoming community together!
